Application process

At AphasiaNS we are always happy to receive a helping hand. We welcome any and all skill levels from our volunteers.

If you are interested in taking one of the positions below, or to find out how you can contribute in any way Aphasia Nova Scotia, please complete the following steps:

Step 1: Fill out our application form.

Step 2: Send your resume to our volunteer coordinator at Volunteer.AphasiaNS@gmail.com.


Step 3: The volunteer coordinator will contact you for an interview, where you will learn about the structure of AphasiaNS and available positions.

Step 4: You get accepted to a position and get to put your skills to use with AphasiaNS!

*Note: Those offered a volunteer position with Aphasia Nova Scotia may be required to submit a police record check with vulnerable sector query. Our volunteers are eligible for the volunteer rate of $30 (payable by the volunteer) and will be provided with a letter from the volunteer coordinator to present to the police.
